Conceived of by conceptual artist Hank Willis Thomas, All Power to All People is a larger than life steel sculpture of the iconic Afro Pick.

At approximately 25 feet high, All Power to All People stands as a symbol of community, strength, perseverance, comradeship, equal justice & belonging.

The piece offers an opportunity to reflect on a storied culture & a 6000 year history of the artifact & of grooming culture.

Kindred Arts (in collaboration with Hank Willis Thomas), initiated the proposed project in March 2018 with  a public fundraising campaign to secure support for planning, creation & debut of the 25 foot interactive, illuminated monument. Completed in August of 2018, the sculpture is now on loan to Kindred Arts where it is being  prepared for exhibition & a social practice tour in alignment with institution & cultural events.
